4 Reasons Why I Can’t Wait For MVMCP

As I sit here writing this, I am mid-flight on my way to WDW!  Of course, I am thinking about everything I’m looking forward to, and one part of my trip’s plan that is really sticking out is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.  I have never been to MVMCP before and seeing many fun-filled videos and breathtaking photos (like this one below) have tremendously heightened my anticipation of the first time I get to experience Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in person!

With this special event just a day away, the top four reasons why I can’t wait for MVMCP are…

4. Meeting Jack Skellington dressed as Sandy Claws

I’m always a huge fan of rare character meet-and-greet opportunities, so you can only imagine how stoked I am for this.  Also, after watching a video of how spot on the character of Jack Skellington is portrayed, there is no way this could be left off the list…

3. Holiday Wishes

Wishes is one of my favorite shows to see in WDW!  If this firework display lives up to a fraction of the magic seen in this photo below, it’s sure to be a highlight of my night.

2. Free Cookies and Hot Cocoa

Cookies are already my weakness — Now we’re talking about FREE cookies?  AND hot cocoa?  Count me in!  No, I didn’t forget I’m a Type 1 Diabetic — but I think this special occasion might call for a little extra insulin. (See my article in WDW Magazine all about how to enjoy WDW to the fullest as a diabetic here!)

1. LIGHT CROWDS

How could anything beat this?  Leading up to this trip, I’ve checked the Magic Kingdom Wait Times during the nights of which Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party takes place and my eyes still light up every time I see a 30-minute wait or less for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or a 20-minute wait for Peter Pan’s Flight — It is almost too incredible to believe!

When you attended Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for the first time, what was your favorite part of that night?
