Unfortunately, the Spring Breaker's won't leave until around the 20th. But if you are there after the 20th, you'll have the parks pretty much to yourselves.

Dad,

How crowded are the parks aroung the 18th of April. I wondered if all of the spring breakers will be back in school.

Sherry,

Most of us Disneyoholics dream of getting one of those offers with the pin. Yes, it's a good deal. The only thing that might sour it a little is if Disney runs a free ticket deal for that time frame. They haven't announced any yet, but they did last year. But even then they will make you an offer to sweeten your trip. Dad says go for it.

Hi,

I just recently booked a Disney vacation for April 18-24-10. I received a pinned offer that gave me 40% off of a deluxe resort. I wondered if, relative to Disney specials, is that a good deal?

Hi Dad, we are traveling to WDW over Christmas Break (I know, I know) but my twin girls will turn 5 on December 27 and I really wanted to spend their birthday at the parks. I have made reservations at Chef Mickeys at 7:30 on the 27th for breakfast and was hoping to hop over to Magic Kingdom afterwards. We will already have our tickets so I was thinking we would take adantage of the 6 Fast Pass tickets you can get in lieu of the "free day on your birthday" offer. Looking at the scheduled for MK (EMH before AND after regular hours) that day I have several concerns:

1) It will be wickedly crowded by the time we get out of breakfast and they will be out of Fast Passes for the birthday offer which makes being at MK that day pointless.

2) It will be wickedly crowded and perhaps we should park in the main parking lot (rather than at the Contemporary) so we can hop on the monorail after eating and save us some time (how early do the lots open?)

3) It will be wickedly crowded and my children will be miserable and maybe we should just go to another park?

I spoke with a reservation agent who thought we should give it a shot because if it was too crowded, they would close the park anyway! Yikes! The good news is we are arriving on the 20th so we will have several days to hit MK before Christmas so it's not like we haven't been there yet. I was just hoping we could take advantage of the Fast Pass special.

Any thoughts you have on this insanity would be helpful. Thanks!

That's a really good question.

The answer used to be, no problem, you can do it. When FastPass first came out the scanners in the machines could be tricked by old tickets. A few years ago Disney changed the software in the machines to allow only tickets that have been scanned for entry to obtain a ticket.

So the bottom line is, everyone will have to be in the park to get a ticket.

Sorry.

Do you know if it is required that a guest be in the park in order to get a Fast Pass? We're staying at the Yacht Club and I was wondering if I could go into Epcot by myself and obtain Soarin' Fast Passes for everyone in my party with their tickets, even though they haven't entered the park yet. They're late sleepers! Thanks!
