Bats and Grammys

Mrs. Mom’s Mom (who the kids call Gram) has a problem with rodents and things. She was pretty freaked out when we told her about the bat enclosure on the Maharajah Jungle Trek. She wasn’t going in there, no way, no how!

No problem we assured her, you can just wait for us at the other end. Mrs. Mom graciously volunteered to wait with her mother. (What a WOMAN, my wife.)

The day finally came and we started down the Maharajah Jungle Trek. It was a beautiful day, and I was in a prankish mood. (It happens.) We passed the Komodo Dragon and I started walking right into the “bat cave”, knowing where I was going. Mrs. Mom and Mrs. Mom’s Mom were right behind me.

Squeak (yep, that was the sound she made). Mrs. Mom’s Mom was terrified. She used all three of my names. It was one of my proudest moments. I got her to open her eyes and look around for 2 seconds before she scampered out the door. (I think Mrs. Mom punched me on the arm. It was worth it.)
