How to visit Disney World and never set foot in a park.
The weather finally cleared up enough for Dad pull out the trusty Nikon and head to the happiest place on earth.

Downtown Disney is home to The World of Disney
Since I couldn’t find any cheap Disney Tickets, I decided to see what I could see without going into a park. I’ve never visited Disney World without going into a park.
I arrived in the parking lot at Downtown Disney at 5ish in the evening after a long day at work. For grins, I walked the length of Downtown Disney searching for something to reach out and grab me. I took a few pictures, and then I took a few more.

Lego Sea Monster
I never realized just how big Downtown Disney is. It’s huge. You can even grab a boat to take you from one end of the mall to the other. It’s a long walk (warning: Dad’s about to whine here, you might want to tune out for a minute), and it was hot, and humid. So hot and humid that I was sweating. I don’t like to sweat. My camera lens kept fogging up every time I came out of an air conditioned building.
I remember now why we don’t go to DIsney World in August.
I was starting to get hungry and nothing at Downtown Disney grabbed me and drew me in, so I decided the next stop would be the Boardwalk.
I then made a real bad decision.
I left my car in the parking lot and grabbed a Disney Luxury Motorcoach to the Boardwalk Villas.
As Julia Roberts says in Pretty Woman – “Big mistake, huge!”
Stay tuned for the details.
