Disney World – It’s the most wonderful time…

Friday, the Friday after Thanksgiving, I hopped in my car and drove to my sisters house. It’s time for Christmas music. (You can’t have Christmas music until after Thanksgiving at our house.) As I was driving I was singing along. I sing good.

After about an hour “THAT” song came on the radio. You know the one, the song where you know exactly what you were doing you were the first time you heard it. Yeah, that song.

For me that song is Andy Williams singing “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” What a great song. So true. (I know, I’m a little strange.)

Andy Williams - The Andy Williams Christmas Album - It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I first heard Andy crooning “It’s the hap – happiest feeling of all” in the Magic Kingdom of all places.

Let me tell you the story.

Me, Mrs. Mom, The Princess and the Man-Child were going to our very first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. We were so excited. I had been planning this for years. I wanted to go to MVMCP (see what Dad says about acronyms) because it was the hip thing to do for those of us Disneyphiles who permeated the net.

It was a beautiful Friday night in Orlando. There was just a hint of a chill in the air. The sun was going down as we walked into the park. People were streaming out, but very few were streaming in.

We started down Main Street toward Casey’s Corner (our favorite eating place in the Magic Kingdom) the Man-Child in the lead, as always. Lights were coming on, the decorations were starting to shine, it was that perfect time of evening when the colors explode then fade away…

Every thing was perfect.

The family was relaxed and together…

Andy started singing…

The “snow” started falling…

The Man-Child yelled, “Daddy, the snow tastes like soap.”

It was fantastic.

It was one of those moments you never forget…

Priceless…

Uncle Walt and his boys create those kind of memories every day.
