Disney’s new Swine Flu Precautions

Disney World is getting serious about the Swine Flu.

They are instituting several new policies to help reduce the risk to both visitors and cast members.

Disney’s New Swine Flu Policies

  • Public restrooms will be sanitized once per hour.
  • Cast members that have routine physical contact with guests will be required to wear gloves and masks.
  • Starting today, Disney will only allow one seating per meal at each of it’s restaurants.
  • Disney will only allow a limited number of guests in each of the parks. The number is a closely held secret, but it will be a significantly reduced number. Get there early.

THE ABOVE LIST IS FICTIONAL

Here’s what Disney is really doing to combat the H1N1 virus.

Disney has installed hand sanitizer dispensers in public areas like hotel lobbies and character meet and greet areas. They are also reminding guests (through fliers in the parks) to take flu precautions.

That’s about it.

Disney has gotten a little flack from their employees union about the need for more aggressive prevention measures for employees that come into physical contact with guests.

Stay tuned for more information as it develops.

Yes, Dad would still go to Disney World in a heartbeat.
