Hey Yall! Happy Friday! It is almost the weekend. I woke up to a few clouds in the skies this morning and I hope we get some rain today. The Magic Kingdom might be the most magical place on earth. In my opinion it might be the hardest park to find cool places to hang out.
The Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square is a great place to cool off and maybe even take a nap. The 25 minute long show features animatronics of each of the Presidents. They start with George Washington and go through our current president. Mrs. Mom loves this attraction.
In Frontierland you will want to catch the Country Bear Jamboree. These bears put on a great show. Just sit and relax for 20 minutes and let them entertain you. If you are not entertained by them then just rest your eyes and the show will be over in no time. Dad will warn you that the benches are not the most comfortable.
The Enchanted Tiki Room is a great place to cool down in Adventureland. Wait and be entertained by the spirits of the Sunshine Pavilion. The doors will open and you will go sit on a hard bench in the air conditioning. Then it is show time. The birds will come to life and put on a show. This would be the optimal nap place for The Man-Child.
Dad and Mrs. Mom love to ride the Carousel of Progress. Located in Tomorrowland this is 21 minutes ride through technology of the past 100 years. An added bonus is that the ride is in the air conditioning. The ride will take you through all the major technological inventions from the telephone up to the current products on the market.
In Fantasyland there is Mickey’s Philharmagic. It’s only 12 minutes long, but if you time it right you can be in the cool air for a full 25 minutes or more. My favorite scene in the movie is where Aladdin and Jasmine fly on the carpet singing “It’s a Whole New World“.
Also, the brand new Dumbo ride has a big air conditioned play area where you can wait for the new version of FASTPASS they use. This is really cool.
So maybe it was not that hard to stay cool in the Magic Kingdom, there are lots of lines to wait in and most of them have air conditioning.
Make sure to drink lots of water, you do not want to have to visit the doctor because of dehydration. This will just detract from an otherwise perfect vacation. If you feel like you are getting to hot just find a place to rest close to were you are and grab some water and cool off before pushing yourself to do more.
I cannot stress the importance of sunscreen. Apply the sunscreen before you leave your resort in the morning. Then take the bottle with you in a bag and reapply every 4 hours. I promise you do not want to be walking around Walt Disney World with sunburn.
