Hey Yall! Dad has been talking a great deal about the Palooza. This weekend I found out more about The Plan. From what I can tell Dad and Mrs. Mom are going to be spending lots of time at Epcot. I am sure this is because they will be there during the International Food and Wine Festival. None of us in the family have ever experienced this event.
This year there will be new festival marketplaces. There will be over 25 marketplaces, each offering something a little different. I have the inside scoop on 2 of the marketplaces. TERRA marketplace will focus on a vegan menu. Items featured will include Trick’n Chick’n Curry with Basmati Rice and Chili Colorado with chips and cashew cheese. FLORIDA marketplace will focus the fresh flavors Florida has to offer.
With the new Marketplaces, guests will be given a passport to be stamped. This is a really great souvenir to take home. I am sure each person will write a special note to the guests. I still have my passport from our first trip to Walt Disney World.
Sometimes those guests under 21 feel a little left out of this event. Epcot has come up with a solution for that. This year will debut new beverages geared towards children. Children will also be able to much on beef empanadas and cheese fondue. Sometimes kids can be scared to try the new and different menu items available. This is a great way to let the kids be involved and let them try things without being overwhelmed.
Many of you may be wondering what is part of Epcot admission and what costs extra. I am going to break it down here for you. The cost of park admission covers the Authentic Taste Seminars, the HGTV Seminars, special book signings (of course you will have to pay if you want a copy of the book), the Eat to the Beat! Concerts, Marketplace Discovery Passport, and all the rides and attractions Epcot offers.
Anything else guest choose to participate in will cost extra and will probably need a reservation. Reservations can be made starting August 14th at 7 a.m. Let Dad and his friends worry about making the reservations for you. This is a great way to enjoy Epcot. The park will be less crowded during this time of year and the temperature will have cooled off a little. This is a great time to visit and enjoy a great festival.
