During this time though, it is very possible it could mutate and become more contagious as it adapts to humans, thus it could reemerge in the fall with the beginning of flu season. This is what has happened historically with epidemics and the 1918 pandemic. So, we decided to keep our May traveling plans and not reschedule for the fall. Who knows what our situation will be with this flu in the fall. Maybe the vacine will be available by then. However, in the 70's more people died of the vacine (45) than of the actual swine flu (1).
